Hands-on Conservation, Professional Development, Paid Summer Experience
Watersong’s Conservation Job Corps is a paid summer program designed to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders. Each June, we welcome 10 high school students to join the team for a month-long deep dive into conservation, ecology, and land management—all while gaining valuable work experience, building a professional network, and earning a paycheck.
Job Corps Interns Can Expect To
Gain extensive training in conservation, ecology, and land management.
Take part in professional development sessions on presentation skills, research, and higher education pathways.
Go on a week-long field trip to natural areas, research stations, and conservation projects.
Work side by side with Watersong staff, contributing to real-world habitat management efforts.
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to students from:
Midland High School
Legacy High School
Early College High School at Midland College
Young Women’s Leadership Academy
Odessa High School
Permian High School
*Must be 16-18 years old at the time of the program.

Applications are open from February 1st - March 31st each year.
