Outdoor Learning for K-12 Classrooms
Bring your classroom to life at Watersong
Give your students the chance to explore, investigate, and connect with nature through TEKS-aligned, hands-on outdoor learning experiences. Each program is available as either a staff-guided visit to Watersong, including learning stations, activities, discussion questions, and extension materials, or as a self-guided resource packet for educators who want to guide their own experience.

This program can be tailored per grade.

Students explore ecosystems like scientists - observing, recording, and analyzing real-world data. Hands-on stations help students connect classroom learning to the living world.

Older students take on the role of environmental decision-makers, investigating real-world challenges and presenting solutions.
In the staff-guided experience, students will present to Watersong staff their solutions for a land management challenge posed to them during their visit.

Logistics & Policies
Staff-guided experiences must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance
Groups are not to exceed 60 students per school visit (visits can be broken into multiple days)
Requires 1 chaperone (parent/teacher/caregiver) for every 20 students
Cancellation due to weather is possible with rescheduling options
